About the resort

About Passo Rolle

Passo Rolle is part of the Val di Fiemme/San Floriano group of ski areas. The Val di Fiemme, in the north-east of Trentino, is picturesquely surrounded by the Latemar, Lagorai and Pale di San Martino ranges and is often called the "gateway to the Dolomites". It offers more than 100 km of pistes at altitudes from 860 m to 2,450 m, 98% of which have snowmaking. The Dolomiti Superski pass is valid in the region, giving access to 1,200 km of pistes in the world's largest ski circuit. Set at 1,980 m in a superb location on a mountain pass almost ten kilometres long, Passo Rolle is one of the most picturesque ski resorts in Trentino. Wide pistes wind along the foot of jagged rocky peaks. Skiers of intermediate to good ability have the most choice at Passo Rolle. There are few easy pistes here, and few really difficult ones. The latter certainly include the two black pistes Paradiso I (1,030 m long) and Paradiso II (1,450 m long). The ski season here lasts more than five months. The pistes total 15 km in length, and most of them have snowmaking. The resort's strong point is its very good access to the pistes: you can practically put your skis on at the hotel door.
