Buková hora

Čenkovice lies on the southern edge of the Orlické Mountains, close to the point where the Polish border around the Kłodzko Land reaches furthest south. Although the resort is fairly new and relatively low-lying, its modern facilities and favourable microclimate let it compete successfully with the nearby resorts of the Orlické Mountains, the Králický Sněžník massif and the Jeseníky. The resort lies in the upper part of the village of Čenkovice, on the western slopes of Buková hora (958 m). Its main axis is a chairlift, alongside which a red piste runs down, as well as a much longer and gentler blue one. Parallel to the chairlift stands a slightly shorter T-bar, with another red piste running down beside it. A separate area has two short T-bars with easy beginners' pistes and a children's lift. In total there are more than 5 km of pistes served by the chairlift and 6 lifts. They are complemented by the cross-country trails that are a must in this region, more than 60 km in total. It is also worth knowing that a special ski pass is available, valid both on the pistes in Čenkovice and at the neighbouring Červena Voda resort on the other side of the ridge.
