The linked ski areas of Serfaus Fiss Ladis have plenty of easy pistes that are ideal for learning. Most beginner pistes are on the lower slopes and right next to the villages. Intermediates will also find extensive terrain here. The network of red pistes is dense, densest on the slopes of the Zwölferkopf (2,596 m), at whose foot Ladis lies. Very importantly, you can get around the whole Serfaus Fiss Ladis ski area without taking your skis off. There are not many difficult pistes for advanced skiers in the area. One of the toughest is the north run from the Sattelkopf, 1.5 km long with a vertical drop of 220 m. The northern slopes of the same mountain also offer freeriders fantastic off-piste terrain. The region's cross-country network has more than 100 km of interconnected trails. There are trails of every difficulty, including sections that demand good technique and real stamina. On the Komperdell alpine pasture, at 2,000 m, high-altitude trails run with superb views. In the region's traditional villages time passes slowly, and evenings are usually spent in cosy local bars and restaurants. The smallest and quietest of the three ski villages is Ladis, with its distinctive houses decorated with traditional murals and Laudegg Castle. One of the most popular après-ski activities is tobogganing. There are toboggan runs (also open in the evenings) in each of the three villages. Other après-ski options include ice bowling, ice skating, paragliding, horse riding, tennis and swimming.
