• There is a special offer aimed at families. Children under 10 ski on a free ski pass in the Stubai Valley resorts when accompanied by a parent with a paid ski pass.

• Opening dates at the individual resorts depend on the weather and snow conditions. On the Stubai Glacier the ski season starts on 9 October and runs until mid-May.

• Schlick 2000 plans to open at the end of November. The Elferbahnen lifts in Neustift and the Serlesbahnen in Mieders will not start until December. In winter they are popular with tobogganers. Both areas also have family-friendly pistes and scenic winter walking trails.

Reliable skiing conditions on the Stubai Glacier

On the Stubai Glacier you can enjoy winter sports at more than 3,000 m above sea level. Once the resort is fully open, skiers will have 65 km of pistes, 36 runs of varying difficulty and 26 lifts. Freeriders can ski off-piste in the Powder Department zone, and the Stubai Zoo is open to both skiers and snowboarders. Families get dedicated learning areas and attractions for the youngest children.

Winter activities at Schlick 2000

At Schlick 2000 in Fulpmes you ski with a view of the Kalkkögel range. From 28 November, snow permitting, the pistes will open one after another. The resort has 23 pistes with a total length of 25 km. Freeriders can ski off-piste. For those who prefer other winter activities there is a floodlit toboggan run and walking trails.

Families whose children are taking their first steps on skis will find good conditions for learning through play at BIG Ron’s Kinderland.

Tyrolean specialities are on the menu too. You can try them during a break at the Panorama Restaurant Kreuzjoch, which looks out over the Stubai Valley.

Tobogganing and quiet winter days in Neustift and Mieders

There is more to the Stubai Valley than skiing. Near the Elferbahnen in Neustift, snow permitting, night tobogganing is organised at least twice a week. In Mieders, close to the Serlesbahnen, families have child-friendly pistes, a learning area and an extensive network of winter walking trails. Tobogganers can also use a toboggan run of around six kilometres.

Winter events in the Stubai Valley

There is plenty going on away from the slopes as well. On 29 December 2026 the BIG Family Vorsilvesterfest brings music and a fireworks display. Four evening winter walks are planned for January and February 2027.

New from 2027 is the Stubai light park by the Kampler See lake in Neustift. Illuminated trees and animal figures will give the place a special atmosphere. The park will be open daily from the end of November to the end of February, from 17:00 to 22:00. Admission will be free.

Four ski resorts on one ski pass

In the 2026/27 winter season the Stubai Skipass covers four ski resorts in the valley: the Stubai Glacier, Schlick 2000, Elferbahnen and Serlesbahnen. It is sold for four days or more, and the offer is valid from December to Easter. Children under 10 ski free when accompanied by a parent with a paid ski pass. The pass also includes free travel on the ski buses that serve the Stubai Valley resorts.
