Ski Arena Łysa Góra is a ski resort in a scenic part of the Western Sudetes. It lies in the municipality of Jeżów Sudecki in the Kaczawskie Mountains, at the foot of the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains). It is just 10 km from the centre of Jelenia Góra, 50 km from Legnica, 70 km from Lubin, about 100 km from Głogów and Wrocław, and 150 km from Zielona Góra. It is an excellent place for winter and summer activities during the week, as well as for longer family breaks at weekends or during the Polish winter school holidays (ferie) and summer holidays. The many lifts and pistes are on the north slope of Łysa Góra (708 m), so the snow lasts a long time and skiing conditions are excellent. In winter the Łysa Góra arena has something for downhill skiers and snowboarders, cross-country skiers, ski tourers and the youngest snow fans, who can enjoy ski lessons, a sledging field, a ski carousel and a play area in Reniferowa Chatka (the Reindeer Hut). The biggest asset of Ski Arena Łysa Góra is the Aeskulap ski school, founded in 1970. The school's programme covers more than ski lessons. Children and teenagers also go on mountain trips organised in the Krkonoše, the Jizera Mountains, the Rudawy Janowickie and the Kaczawskie Mountains. In winter Ski Arena Łysa Góra offers: • more than 4 km of superbly prepared pistes with modern snowmaking and floodlights • six lifts: four button lifts, one T-bar and one children's lift without towers • daytime and evening skiing • ski passes tailored to individual needs • ski lessons • ski service • ski hire • cross-country trails • ski touring trails • a snow park for snowboarders and skiers • a fun park for the youngest with a carousel and a sledging field • 4 places to eat • a horse stud with riding lessons • free car parks
