About the resort

About Seiser Alm

Exceptional sunshine (as many as 300 sunny days a year) and plenty of easy pistes sum up this resort in brief. It is an excellent place for families with children, beginners and those who like to combine undemanding skiing with sunbathing in beautiful mountain scenery. Paradoxically, despite the very sunny climate, Seiser Alm / Alpe di Siusi always guarantees excellent snow conditions, thanks to a modern snowmaking system covering practically the whole ski area. The pistes are exceptionally wide and treeless, which makes for very comfortable skiing. (Alpe di Siusi, photo: skionline.pl.) Convenient access to the ski area is provided by a sixteen-person cable car with its valley station in the village of Siusi. It is also worth knowing that the resort has a direct link to Dolomiti Superski, the world's largest ski circuit. A local attraction is the Alpe di Siusi Witch Route. It leads through the most scenic corners of Alpe di Siusi, where, legend has it, the witches who lived around the Schlern mountain held their sabbaths long ago. The stops along the route are Puflatsch (2,130 m), Spitzbühl (1,935 m), Panorama (2,009 m), Goldknopf (2,249 m), Williams Hut (2,100 m), Steger Dellai, Monte Piz and Piz (2,005 m). Besides the wonderful views, the route's undoubted attractions are the wooden installations along the way and a park with huge witch figures.
