Most of the pistes around Madonna di Campiglio are easy or intermediate. One of the few exceptions is the FIS piste "3-Tre", known for its World Cup slalom races, and the remarkably fast new "Amazzonia" piste on the slopes of Spinale. The region is a ski circuit offering more than 90 km of pistes in total if you include the nearby Folgarida-Marilleva ski area. In nearby Pinzolo there is a small ski resort suited to families with children. Around 30 km of cross-country trails of varying difficulty have been laid out here. Several well-prepared loops lead through picturesque conifer forest. Cross-country skiing after dark is also possible on a floodlit trail. In the nearby town of Caderzone you can visit the new Terme Val Rendena, Fonte San Antonio thermal spa. In Madonna di Campiglio, along the main street and the side lanes, shops and windows are full of crafts and regional produce that make food lovers' eyes light up: "Pressa delle Giudicarie", a DOP cheese made from the milk of high mountain pastures, garlic-flavoured cured meats from the Val Rendena and strong spirits flavoured with mountain herbs. The nightlife is very varied. Unfortunately, the prices of both accommodation and services match the prestige of this Alpine resort.
