About the resort

About Heidi-Alm Skipark

Falkert. A less visited ski area east of BKK (Bad Kleinkirchheim), in the small resort of Falkert at 1,870 to 2,308 m. To get here you have to drive more than ten kilometres along winding hairpin roads. The effort at the wheel pays off, as the hard drive is rewarded with superb views and a rugged Alpine landscape quite different from what you see in BKK. Falkert is a small village made up mainly of hotels and Gasthofs. Skiers have pistes here of radically different difficulty. Beginners and advanced skiers alike can ski to their heart's content. Let's start with beginners and children. For them there are pistes to the right of the car park. Runs "23" and "24", served by a button lift that takes you up to 2,000 m, let beginners and intermediates improve their skiing. On the left, looking from the top, there are two gently sloping runs. The right-hand side is meant for slightly more confident skiers. At the bottom there is a children's piste. You can leave your little ones here in the care of experienced instructors. For thrill-seekers I recommend the runs on the northern slopes, "21" and "22". A T-bar takes you up to 2,100 m, from where two runs perfect for carving are available. The only drawback of these pistes is that the lower part is largely flat. Advanced skiers are invited up the Falkert itself, 2,308 m. The "Black Twenty" gets the adrenaline going and lets you test your skiing skills. From the summit there is a superb view of the mountains above St.Oswald and the whole Falkert resort.
