The Wildkogel toboggan run holds the record for length
14 kilometres and 1,300 metres of vertical drop from the Wildkogel to Bramberg: the longest floodlit toboggan run in the world is a challenge for anyone who wants to set a personal best on the course, but also for those who like to stop for a rest along the way. No other winter sport is as simple or as much fun as tobogganing. The Wildkogel mountain railways run not only during the day but also at night.
The lights on the perfectly prepared toboggan run only go out at 22:00. Tobogganers can reach the start at 2,100 metres in a few minutes on the Smaragdbahn, which on Fridays runs until as late as 18:30. You can also take the Wildkogelbahn and walk a short stretch to the start of the toboggan run.
At the top, it is worth first enjoying the panorama from the finest viewing mountain in the Oberpinzgau region of Salzburg. Then put on your helmet and goggles and head to the start of the longest floodlit toboggan run in the world: more than 23 bends and long stretches of track give a fantastic view of the Salzachtal valley. Those who like to take it easy brake at one of the huts along the run.
