Few places in Poland at such a low altitude have slopes suitable for several lifts that add up to a fairly sensible resort (by lowland standards). Rybno, south-east of Łomża, has pulled it off: on the slopes of the Narew valley there is the Rodzinna Stacja Narciarska (Family Ski Resort). Height differences reach 40 metres here, and the climate (fairly harsh winters), combined with snowmaking, allows skiing for three winter months. The resort has four T-bars, the longest almost 200 metres long. Thanks to a tiered layout, however (a single T-bar at the bottom and two more running in parallel above it), the longest run is almost half a kilometre. All the pistes are very easy, ideal for learning and for families with small children. The slopes are of course (as befits a self-respecting ski resort) floodlit and groomed. The resort also has a bar on the slope, a rental shop and a ski service. Rybno is certainly one of the most unusual places to ski in Poland, though the resort seems to matter only locally.
The pistes run from 105 m to 140 m, a vertical drop of 35 m.
Rybno has 2 km of pistes, served by 5 lifts.
