We describe the resort's location in some detail for good reason: it determines how the resort works and its snow conditions. On the one hand, the climate here is harsher than in the surrounding area, and the resort itself is relatively close to large towns: Kraków, Tarnów and, between them on the edge of the Carpathians, Bochnia and Brzesko. On the other hand, compared with resorts deeper in the Beskids, the climate here is somewhat milder, which causes large swings in snow cover over the season that cannot always be made up for by snowmaking on the slopes (which, incidentally, works flawlessly here). The main axis of the resort is a 4-seater Tatrapoma chairlift, more than 1,500 metres long, with a vertical rise of almost 300 metres and a capacity of 2,200 people per hour. Alongside it runs a beautiful 2 km piste, without doubt one of the best between the Silesian Beskids and Krynica. In its middle part it is a little more scenic, but the last section down to the chairlift's valley station allows truly dynamic skiing. In the lower part of the slope a short, steep variant marked as a black piste also branches off it. A T-bar with two distinctive bends runs alongside the main piste, and at the chairlift's top station there are two more short T-bars, one of them for children and beginners. In all, the resort has four lifts with a combined capacity of 3,750 people per hour, and the pistes add up to almost 4 km. It is worth noting that the pistes are varied and cover every level of difficulty, although it must be said that placing the easiest lifts right at the top is not ideal. There are restaurants and bars at the bottom and at the top, as well as the usual facilities for a resort of this size: a rental shop, ski service and ski school. Overall, Laskowa-Kamionna is a rather interesting place to ski, recommended mainly for good skiers, who will certainly get a lot of fun out of the main piste. The resort's drawback is its unreliable snow cover, so it is always best to check the snow conditions before setting off.
