Photo: SN Kaniówka. Located in the southern part of Białka Tatrzańska, Kaniówka is probably the least known ski area in this popular ski village. The pistes here are on the eastern slopes of Wysoki Wierch, served by a four-seater chairlift fitted with the KID-STOP system for the safety of the youngest. There are also three T-bars and a drag lift for the youngest. All in all, the whole complex is an area for children and beginners, and its greatest advantage (from the point of view of anyone taking their first steps on skis) is that the slopes are relatively uncrowded. Covered by the joint Białka ski pass, Kaniówka is somewhat isolated and quieter than the busy Kotelnica and Bania complex: there is no direct piste link between these areas. This is likely to change in the near future, however, as two chairlifts are under construction, running from Jankulakowski Wierch to Wysoki Wierch, which towers directly above Kaniówka. As in Białka's other ski areas, the facilities here are very well organised: a large free car park, a ski hire shop, ski schools and a large, stylish highlander inn.
