About the resort

About Fellhorn/Kanzelwand

Oberstdorf lies at 815 m in a valley between the Nebelhorn and Fellhorn peaks. It has Germany's first skibob school and the centre of German skating, with three ice rinks under one roof. The largest cable car in Germany runs up the Fellhorn, with cabins holding as many as 100 people. The main attraction of the Söllereck, which draws most holidaymakers, is the ski flying hill, equipped with a passenger lift, as well as the longest T-bar in Germany. Oberstdorf has a very extensive network of trails along which you can reach beautiful mountain valleys on foot or by horse-drawn sleigh, for example Trettach, Stillach, Oytal, Birgsau and Spielmannsau. The villages of Rubi, Reichenbach and Schöllang in the Illertal valley are also favourite destinations for walks. Linking the two peaks of Fellhorn (2,037 m) and Kanzelwand (2,059 m) in the Kleinwalsertal created the so-called Zwei-Länder-Skizirkus, with cable cars, chairlifts, T-bars and pistes for every level of ability.
