About the resort

About Severák

Severák is a mid-sized ski area on the slopes of Slovanka (820 m), which rises between the villages of Janov nad Nisou and Hrabětice. Most of the lifts are on the Hrabětice side. They are grouped in several areas linked by pistes. Gentle blue slopes dominate, so the resort is excellent for first steps on skis and for a family holiday with children. Because Severák is the coldest place in the Jizera Mountains, you can find good snow here even in mid-April. The main ski area is near Chata Arnika, which has a free car park. There is also a floodlit slope here and a special children's lift. From the summit you can ski over a bridge across the road to Loučky, where there is a slightly steeper red piste and a new snow park. Harder red slopes can also be found on the other side of the Slovanka ridge, by the Jih lifts. In total skiers have 5 km of pistes served by 11 lifts. The ski area belongs to the Skiaréna Jizerky ski region, where one ski pass also covers the Tanvaldský Špičák and Bedřichov resorts. The villages are linked by a ski bus running three times a day (free for holders of a valid ski pass). In total, one ski pass gives you 22 lifts and 17 km of varied downhill pistes. And as at most Czech ski resorts, you can also go cross-country skiing: the Jizerská magistrála, more than 80 km long, runs through the resort.
