About the resort

About Černý Důl

The Černý Důl ski resort is part of the largest ski region in the Czech Republic, which offers the most downhill pistes on 1 ski pass (41 km). Černý Důl is a good resort for families with children and beginners. Experienced skiers will also appreciate its wide pistes. The resort has pistes up to 1,400 m long, 2 chairlifts, 6 T-bars and a modern KIDpark with a magic carpet for learning to ski. Černý Důl is part of SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA - PEC, a ski region with one ski pass valid at the resorts of Černá hora (Janské Lázně), Pec pod Sněžkou, Černý Důl, Velká Úpa and Svoboda nad Úpou. SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA - PEC offers varied ski terrain with downhill pistes totalling 41 km (75% of them covered by snowmaking). It has 1 gondola, 7 chairlifts, 30 T-bars and 3 magic carpets. In four of the five resorts skiers can try a timed giant slalom course. Černý Důl, with its modern KIDpark, is ideal for children learning to ski. SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA also grooms 90 km of cross-country trails regularly. You can ski in a different area every day, choosing from dozens of kilometres of downhill pistes of varying difficulty and length. The eastern Krkonoše is the only place in the Czech Republic where you can ski at five resorts on one ski pass. In season, skiers travel between the resorts of SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA - PEC on ski buses running on 3 main lines, and there is also a network of so-called CITY buses in Janské Lázně, Pec pod Sněžkou and Černý Důl. Three ski bus lines take skiers to the places where night skiing is available.
