About the resort

About Bedřichov

Bedřichov is a small village in the central part of the Jizera Mountains, just 11 km east of the centre of Liberec. Its houses are spread across a gently shaped valley, and many of them are historic cottages, more and more often turned into cosy guesthouses or let as a whole. Despite the large town nearby, you can quickly forget the bustle of everyday life here. On the gentle northern slopes of Malinový vrch (827 m) lies a very easy ski area made up entirely of blue pistes, where 5 km of pistes are served by 7 lifts. It is an ideal place to start skiing, friendly to families with children and well suited to beginners' ski courses. Despite its modest altitude, the resort sits in the centre of the Jizera Mountains, known for their harsh climate, and usually has excellent snow conditions until early April, with snow cover often more than a metre deep for over 3 months. Besides downhill skiing, Bedřichov offers very good conditions for cross-country skiing: the Jizerská magistrála, more than 80 km long and one of the most beautiful cross-country trails in the Czech Republic, runs along the edge of the village. The ski area belongs to the Skiaréna Jizerky ski region, where one ski pass also covers the Tanvaldský Špičák and Severák resorts. The villages are linked by a ski bus running three times a day (free for holders of a valid ski pass). In total, one ski pass gives you 22 lifts and 17 km of varied downhill pistes.
