Pistes and lifts in Wildkogel Arena. The resort has 75 km of pistes: 35 km of blue pistes, ideal for beginners and families with children; 30 km of red pistes for intermediates; and 10 km of black pistes for experienced skiers. The infrastructure includes 5 modern gondolas, 4 chairlifts (2 six-seaters and 2 four-seaters), 11 T-bars and rope tows, and magic carpets for the youngest. Wide slopes and a well-organised piste network make for comfortable and safe skiing. Skiing in Wildkogel Arena. Who is Wildkogel Arena for? As much as 85% of the pistes are blue and red, which makes Wildkogel Arena an excellent choice for families, newcomers to skiing and skiers returning after a break. The resort also has a few demanding black sections for those who like a sporting challenge. Ski passes and ski networks. Besides the local pass, Wildkogel Arena accepts ski passes shared with Zillertal Arena: with the Zillertal Arena and Zillertaler Superskipass passes you can ski the pistes of both regions. A free ski bus runs between Neukirchen, Wald, Krimml and Königsleiten. The resort is also part of the SuperSkiCard network, which covers hundreds of kilometres of pistes in Austria and Germany. After skiing: the longest toboggan run in the world. Wildkogel Arena is famous for the world's longest floodlit toboggan run. It is 14 km long with a vertical drop of about 1,300 m, starting at about 2,100 m and ending in Bramberg. The run is floodlit every day until 22:00 (on Mondays until 18:00), and on selected Fridays the Smaragdbahn runs later. Besides tobogganing, the resort offers winter walking trails, fun slope areas and a snow park for children, snow tubing and panoramic viewpoints. Food on the slopes. There are many atmospheric places to eat on the slopes of Wildkogel Arena: the Aussichts-Bergrestaurant at the top station of the Wildkogelbahn, with glazed dining rooms, a panoramic terrace and a menu of regional and European dishes; the Wildkogel Alm by the Smaragdbahn, with table service, a sunny terrace and home cooking; and the Wildkogelhaus (2,005 m), a mountain hut and hotel in one, serving regional Pinzgau specialities and with a sauna with mountain views. Location of Wildkogel Arena. The Wildkogel Arena ski resort is in Austria, in the Oberpinzgau region (SalzburgerLand), above the villages of Neukirchen am Großvenediger and Bramberg am Wildkogel. You can get there by car or by public transport, and the Wildkogelbahn and Smaragdbahn lifts take you up into the ski area.
