Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is one of the largest and most modern ski regions in Austria. Four villages, Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn, form an extensive, very well connected system of 270 km of pistes served by around 70 modern cable cars and lifts. It is a place that beginners, families with children and skiers looking for long all-day routes or demanding descents are all happy to come back to. Because all the sectors are linked, you can ski all day with practically no repeats, and the huge number of possible routes means that even a stay of several days is not enough to get to know the whole region. For the 2026/27 winter season, the resort's planned opening is set for 27 November 2026 and the season is scheduled to close on 4 April 2027, depending on snow conditions, of course. A particular strength of the Skicircus is the variety of its pistes. Beginners will find wide, gentle slopes around Saalbach and Leogang, intermediates can choose from hundreds of kilometres of red pistes, and experienced skiers will appreciate the many black runs, sporty sections and demanding pistes from the highest points of the region. Since the link with Fieberbrunn, the resort has also become one of the most important freeride centres in Austria. Off-piste fans can look forward to marked ski routes, extensive natural slopes, avalanche transceiver checkpoints and terrain known from the Freeride World Tour competitions. In the 2026/27 season the most important investment is the construction of the new Reiterkogelbahn gondola in Hinterglemm. The existing lift will be replaced by a modern 10-seater gondola, which will increase capacity and comfort and further improve the links between the different parts of the resort. Another big asset of the region is the Ski ALPIN CARD. With it, the same ski pass is valid not only in Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn but also on the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See and on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and the Maiskogel in Kaprun. In total this gives access to more than 400 kilometres of pistes and more than 120 cable cars and lifts. Across the whole region there are more than 60 mountain huts and mountain restaurants, from traditional alpine chalets to modern venues with panoramic terraces. When the skiing is over, life moves to Saalbach and Hinterglemm, which are among the best-known après-ski spots in the Alps. Families with children can use the many practice areas, fun slopes, snow trails and pistes designed especially for the youngest. There are also snow parks for snowboarders and freeskiers, SkiMovie runs, speed measurement and many other attractions to liven up a day on the slopes. The official Skicircus app helps you plan your day: it shows the current state of the pistes, which lifts are running, a map of the region and Skiline statistics, and lets you use a digital ski pass on your phone. For years Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn has been among the very best ski resorts in Austria. It is a region that combines a huge number of pistes, modern infrastructure, excellent piste preparation and a very rich offer for skiers of every ability level. If you are planning a week in the Alps and want variety, it is hard to find a better choice.
