Nassfeld: the largest ski resort in Carinthia (Vlog #103)

Skiarena Nassfeld-Hermagor is the largest ski resort in Carinthia and has ranked among the ten best in Austria for years. Its ski terrain lies on two levels. In the Gail valley, at around 700 m, there are mainly cross-country trails.

Higher up, between 1,300 and 2,000 m, alpine skiing dominates (the Sonnenalpe Nassfeld area). Most of the Skiarena's pistes are intermediate, so skiers of moderate ability have plenty of choice. Beginners will find many gentle slopes suited to learning (including on Watschiger Alm, Auernig and Tressdorferhöhe).

Skiers with very good technique have 11 km of difficult pistes and freeride options away from the marked runs. ************************************************* CHOOSE THE BEST HOTEL Planning to book accommodation on Booking.com?
