Carezza: 9 days in South Tyrol (Vlog #053)

Ski Area Carezza-Nova Levante lies in South Tyrol, in the central Dolomites, in the Catinaccio massif. The main villages of the area are Carezza (Karersee) and Nova Levante (Welschnofen). This relatively small resort is ideal both for a family ski holiday and as a place to take your first steps on skis.

The amount of piste (40 km) is just right for not losing your head or your enthusiasm at the start. More experienced skiers will also get a lot of enjoyment out of the slopes around Carezza. The longest run in the area is here: an eight-kilometre intermediate piste from the Kölner Hütte to Welschnofen.

There is a floodlit slope in Nova Ponente (Deutschnofen). Ski kindergartens look after the youngest and guarantee them great fun in the snow. The appeal of this picturesque corner of the Alps is increased by its link to the huge Dolomiti Superski ski region.

Not far from Ski Area Carezza there are much bigger ski resorts, such as Obereggen, Val di Fasa and the Sella Ronda.
