40 years of SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental

Who would have thought it: SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, Austria's leading ski region, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. It all began in 1977, when six Tyrolean villages between the Brixental and the Wilder Kaiser decided to join forces and create a shared ski area. Since then more than half a billion euros has been invested in developing the region.

Everyone agrees that the close cooperation between what are now nine resorts has been a remarkable success. Today SkiWelt is regarded as one of the best ski regions not only in Austria but in the whole of the Alps.
