Ski Bílá

Set among high Beskid peaks, Bílá is one of the most modern ski resorts in this part of the country. The village, a typical mountain tourist village hidden among the forests, has an excellent climate: even in relatively mild winters you can usually ski here, and the season often lasts two or even three weeks longer than at neighbouring resorts. The resort has two areas on opposite sides of the Bílá Ostravice valley. The main ski area lies on the northern slopes of Zbojnická hora (774 m). It has a fast Doppelmayr four-seater chairlift, with 3 pistes running alongside it (two red and one blue). On the opposite side of the valley is a much smaller, easy area for beginners, which also has a snow park. In total skiers have four lifts (including one chairlift) serving more than 5 km of downhill pistes. The slopes are partly floodlit, and the area has well-groomed cross-country trails more than 75 km long, among the most beautiful in the Beskids. Big advantages of the resort are easy access and a sizeable choice of accommodation practically at the foot of the lift.
