The Bike Republic Sölden strengthens its partnership with the Green Hill Bikepark in Germany, with the BYND festival taking turns in the two locations. The unique event merges a wide range of MTB disciplines and joins elite athletes with everyday riders, a party up on the mountain with great contests in the valley. The festival’s highlight is the Swatch Nines MTB-Show, a six-day spectacle with the world’s best slopestyle and freeride stars showcasing their skills on a custom-built track. Plus, the “Bike Republic Sölden Festival BYND The Mountain” is packed with action-packed sports events, hosts an expo in the valley with music highlights and a Mountain Top Party.

The 2023-24 Dolomiti Superski winter season gets off to a great start with a wide range of open lifts and pistes for the first big winter bank holiday on 8 December. In total, more than 320 lifts and around two thirds of the piste kilometres will be available in all 12 ski resorts in the Dolomites. The weather forecasts are also favourable. So far, the number of skiers has been higher than last year.

In the 2023/24 season, the ski world can once again look forward to one of its true World Cup classics next week. And a triple-edition at that: A downhill race that was canceled in Zermatt-Cervinia will be hosted on the Saslong on Thursday, 14 December, before the original program is held with the super-G on Friday, 15 December and the downhill on Saturday, 16 December. Once again, everything is in place for the big South Tyrolean ski festival.

After the Austrian triple triumph at the first Alpine Ski World Cup men's slalom in Ötztal, the organizers are also taking stock of the economic success. The added value generated by the sports event is estimated at 1.8 million Euros. Added to this is the attention made by the media and online presence for the start of the winter season in Gurgl. On Austrian television, around half a million viewers watched the slalom race action on Kirchenkar slope.

The FIS World Cup Giant Slalom in October marks the start of an entire series of top events at the “Heartbeat of the Alps”. The highlights of the winter season include HANNIBAL – The Glacier Spectacle on 05 April 2024, the ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL from 8 to 12 April 2024 and Champ of the Lake from 19 to April 2024, comprising the glacier ski area opening until 01 May. Important note for cycling sports fans: the legendary Ötztaler Cycle Marathon will once again take place on the tried and tested date of 01 September 2024.

The giant slalom stars will open the racing season on 28 and 29 October 2023 in Sölden. When the best slopestyle athletes in the world throw down their most spectacular tricks in the fight for the first World Cup points of the season, prime conditions are a must. For the seventh time, all will be delivered on the Stubai Glacier. From November22 to 25, 2023, the FIS Freeski World Cup will kick off the season with the popular Austrian slopestyle event. 90 athletes from 23 nations will once again do the honors at the Snowpark Stubai Zoo – among them a strong Austrian team that has a chance of success on home soil.
