Winter can begin, Gopass launches the ski pass advance sale
Skiers can start planning their skiing adventures at the best prices already on 30th October. This is the day when the Gopass portal launches the advance sale of 1-day and multi-day ski passes valid in Jasná, the High Tatras and other resorts in the Czech Republic, Poland and Austria in the 2023/24 season.
Gopass sells ski passes by using the same principle as flight tickets have – at flexible or dynamic prices based on the motto: The sooner you buy, the better is the price. “Everybody who buys their ski passes comfortably at home and in advance can always save compared to the prices at ticket offices and can start skiing once they arrive in the resort. Those who didn’t manage to buy ski passes at introductory prices in the past have a great help – Gopass. If you have already registered and have agreed to receive marketing communication (it can be checked in the Gopass account), you will be among the first to know about the advance sale beginning as well as better prices of other products and services, i.e. hotels, water parks or cable cars,” said Martin Chomo from Gopass.

The biggest ski resort in Slovakia – Jasná is hosting two world-class events in winter – Women’s FIS Alpine Ski World Cup (20th – 21st January 2024) and Freeride World Tour Challenger (21st – 24th March 2024). The new season is beginning in a spectacular way with Dara Rolins at the traditional Winter Jasná Opening on 2nd December. The main innovations of the season include snowmaking system enhancement, Brhliská ski lift reopening, accommodation capacity increase in the Liptov Hotel and improved details of some ski trails.

The Vysoké Tatry resort has invested almost half a million euro into a brand-new Prinoth Leitwolf snow groomer to improve the ski piste grooming quality. In addition to skiing, the 11th season of the Tatra Temple of Ice in Hrebienok and the international ice sculpting Tatry Ice Master championships (27th – 28th January 2024) should be the greatest hits of the season.

The attractive benefit for all visitors in Jasná and the Vysoké Tatry mountain resort who stay at TMR hotels is available also in the 2023/24 winter – ski passes/cable car tickets as well as Tatralandia and Bešeňová water park tickets are included in the price.

Opening of two sections of new ski pistes – Lesná and Priehradná will be the most important event of the season in Špindlerův Mlýn, the most popular Czech ski resort. After a planned cable car is built in future, the pistes will link both parts of the resort, i.e. Medvědín and Svatý Petr. Together with widening the existing pistes and adding top modern snowmaking systems, the investment has reached CZK 300 million so far. Besides the legendary Audi Snow Jam, which is going to return back to the pistes in Špindl after a one-year break, visitors can enjoy the music-packed programme of the ORLEN Špindl SkiOpening, where star bands such as Monkey Business and Tata Bojs are going to perform on Saturday 9th December. The tickets are already available at www.gopass.travel.

The ski season begins in the Ještěd ski resort on 9th December but the official ORLEN Ještěd SkiOpening is scheduled for Saturday 16th December, i.e. one week later and takes place below the Nová Skalka piste. Several DJs promise a great music programme and various activities are going to be offered in the partner promo zone. The ski resort where one can travel by tram from Liberec is mainly proud of the Nová Skalka piste with a new modern and energy-saving lighting system which enables night skiing on a 1.5-kilometre-long and a 45-metre-wide piste.

In the Mölltaler Gletscher resort, piste no. 9 between the EISSEE restaurant and the upper station of the Mölltaler Gletscher Express funicular has been groomed and widened, which is the most important change of the season. The rocky terrain in the most critical section of the trail has been modified so that the piste could be widened by about 15 metres. This has increased the safety and comfort of skiers considerably and the popular trail can now be considered a blue family piste.

There are lots of new things also in the Innsbruck Muttereralm resort. The FIS Abfahrt piste, which used to be popular in the past and always depended on natural snow, will be reopened. Twice as many events as before are planned, the snow supply should improve, the sledge track will be open longer, SNOOC skiing will be added to the offer, the ski season should be longer and last until Easter.

The Szczyrk Mountain Resort in Poland will offer something for all kinds of skiers – from alpine skiing fans to ski tourers. It wants to cooperate with the Beskid Sport Arena (BSA) resort more closely and night skiing ski passes will be valid not only in the Szczyrk Mountain Resort (SMR) but also in BSA. What’s more, free ski buses will be shuttling thanks to SMR to all resorts in Szczyrk.

The PREMIUM Smart Season Pass guarantees the best skiing offer for active skiers again, i.e. skiing on more than 200 kilometres of pistes in 10 resorts and 4 countries. It is valid in the following resorts: Jasná (SK), Tatranská Lomnica (SK), Štrbské Pleso (SK), Starý Smokovec (SK), Szczyrk (PL), Špindlerův Mlýn (CZ), Ještěd (CZ), Mölltaler Gletscher (AT), Ankogel (AT), Muttereralm Innsbruck (AT) all season long and includes a 15% discount on goods in selected Motion facilities and on food and drinks in gastronomy facilities located on ski pistes, night skiing in Jasná, Špindlerův Mlýn and Szczyrk (SMR), and free parking at dedicated car parks in selected localities as a bonus. PREMIUM Smart Season Passes are available at special prices of €629 /CZK 15090 / PLN 2949 until the end of November. From December to the end of the season, the prices go up to €699 / CZK 16790 /PLN 3199.
