The unusual performance characteristics of the completely re-engineered NOMAD line are derived from Torsion Flex Control (TFC). A technological innovation which is especially geared to the demands of modern all-mountain skiers and which combines all the advantages of the proven Beta technology. The aim was to build a ski with a wider geometry for a soft flex, but which nevertheless offers maximum edge grip and excellent torsional rigidity. The new TFC system makes the ski soft where necessary for almost effortless turns, but with no loss of performance dynamics. The TFC sectors integrated in the tip and tail of the ski produce a soft flex, while the nano reinforcements between the sectors provide the required torsional rigidity. Effortless and effective to ride, the NOMAD models are extremely light, turn very easily and offer perfect edge grip and control at even high speeds. In brief: Maximum, effortlessly-safe skiing pleasure for all ability groups.
TFC Sectors
The two-chamber system of the Beta technology is open at the surface in order to give the NOMAD models a soft flex for easy turn initiation. These are the areas in which the TFC sectors are integrated. The eye-catching, triangular sectors made of high-tech materials on the tip and tail of the ski have a distinctive perforated structure. In combination with a special material mix, their shape ensures that the ski remains flexible in all directions where this is necessary for comfortable and safe performance control. Aluminium inserts at the edge of the elastomer sectors ensure stability and a long lifecycle. The TFC sectors are flexibly built. Up to ten TFC sectors are integrated in the ski construction over the entire length of the ski.
The higher the number of sectors, the greater the performance of the individual model.
Nano Reinforcement
The nano reinforcement guarantees the stability of the ski when TFC technology is used. The longitudinal nano reinforcement which is integrated between the TFC sectors directly beneath the surface in the tip of the ski ensures the necessary balance between a soft flex and the necessary torsional rigidity. With the help of nano technology, the individual atoms and molecules are processed to create ultra-thin coatings which are up to 50 times harder and lighter than steel. The space and automotive industries have been successfully exploiting the enormous advantages of this cutting-edge technology for some time now. All NOMAD models benefit from the use of this high-end technology so that the finished product shines with excellent all-mountain properties.
