The Metal Laminate construction is the most complex and sophisticated construction made on Vashon. It involves a sandwich lay-up and is built in layers from the bottom up. A Metal laminate skis very precise and accurate as well as being extremely stable and damp primarily because of the 2 sheets of titanium and extra glass layers. While not as forgiving as other ski constructions, Metal Laminates are traditionally a stiffer flex profile and thus designed for more aggressive and technical skiers. This construction is usually found in our high performance and race category skis because of their performance characteristics.
