Finally, racing atmosphere again! From 8 to 10 September, over 1,000 mountain bikers from around 20 nations will once again compete for the title of World Games Champion. Whether amateur or professional, with four marathon distances between 21 km and 80 km and an e-marathon, everyone will be pushed to their limits at the 24th edition of the World Games of Mountainbiking.
Endurance and fitness are in demand This year's World Games of Mountainbiking will once again offer a choice of four different marathon distances. Newcomers can get a taste of competition in the Marathon 21 with 764 metres of altitude difference, while experienced mountain bikers can battle their way over the grassy mountains in Saalbach Hinterglemm on the distances 42 and 58 with between 1,980 and 2,974 metres of altitude difference. Those who have underestimated themselves and spontaneously want to tackle a longer distance can also choose a longer distance at each turn-off during the race.
Heroes and heroines of the mountains The absolute heroes of the World Games of Mountainbiking are those who take on the brutal 80 km marathon on the legendary World Games course. If the distance still doesn't command your respect, the 80 km comes with exactly 3,788 metres of altitude, which of course have to be mastered under your own steam.
E-bikers beware! This year, the second World Games of Mountainbiking E-Marathon awaits the participants. The start of the World Games of Mountainbiking E-bike Marathon competition will take place 15 minutes before the traditional marathon distances in the centre of Hinterglemm. The route, which has been tried and tested from last year, is impressive with a length of 33 kilometres and almost 1,450 metres in altitude.

Junior Trophy Riding a mountain bike race like the grown-ups, entering the same finish line as the pros, being cheered on by countless cheering spectators and getting a taste of real racing air - that's fun not only for the kids, but also for the parents and spectators. On Sunday, 10 September, one day after the marathon, all children up to 13 years of age will get down to business in the start/finish area. On the circuit with different levels of difficulty, the races for girls and boys will be held in six age groups.
Mountainbiking for a good cause As part of the World Games of Mountainbiking, a charitable organisation will be supported again this year. Those who sponsor one of the competitors will donate one euro per kilometre ridden to the Debra Austria association, in aid of butterfly children. Emotions run high when the donation amount is announced at the end of the event. The "Biking 4 Butterfly Children" association has already been able to donate around € 10,000 annually to DEBRA Austria in the course of the "World Games of Mountainbiking".
Registration for the World Games of Mountainbiking is now open and can be found at saalbach.com/worldgames
