Trentino - new features in the ski areas

As the areas open up, some completely new cable lifts will enter into operation in Val di Fassa and at Madonna di Campiglio.
For example, there’s the new Kristiania six-seat chairlift in Val di Fassa, or the modern, ten-seat cable car with automatic coupling in the ski area of Carezza, which has been given the name König Laurin. A distance of over 1,800 m, with an intermediate station, will be covered in just 6 minutes.

Still in Val di Fassa, improvements have been made to the tracks of the "Vajolet 1" and "Vajolet 2" slopes in the Pozza di Fassa - Ciampedìe ski area, while the final stretch of the "Fiamme Oro 1" slope in the Alpe Lusia - San Pellegrino ski area has also been improved.

Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo: the ski pass revolution

The Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta Ski Area is inaugurating the ten-seat D-Line Fortini - Pradalago cable car: 102 new cabins with heated seats, plenty of space, and an attractive design to ensure a comfortable journey.

The real innovation in this ski area is the "ski pass revolution". Prices for the ski passes are no longer fixed, but vary so that you only pay in proportion to how much you ski, based on a new system of buying and selling. The pay-per-use approach meets the world of skiing: but that’s not all. The seasonal pass has been retired forever, to be replaced by the "Starpass". The more holders of the Starpass ski, the less they pay.

Paganella: fresh surprises for kids

New features at the Paganella ski resort are tailored to families, like the first sledge slope, for example, accessible via the Santel-Meriz chairlift that departs from close to Fai della Paganella.

Additionally, the Prati di Gaggia area — where you’ll also find the Polo Primi Passi Eskimo practice area — has a new easy slope called the "orsetto bianco", ideal to give beginners a full yet gradual immersion in the world of skiing, and particularly suitable for kids.

Val di Sole introduces Green Mountain Huts

The Val di Sole Tourist Board and the Pontedilegno-Tonale Consortium have implemented a fantastic environmental, social and economic sustainability project, to increase guests’ environmental awareness. The project involves four mountain huts (Capanna Presena, Panorama 3000 Glacier, Passo Paradiso and Malga Valbiolo) earmarked to become "green": they will use only energy from renewable sources, be totally plastic free, use Ecolabel products and offer a selection of food and wine based on local, Zero-km, organic produce with quality labels.
