RETURNING TO THE WORLD STAGE
Ski Opening in Planai Stadium is a staple of the winter events calendar. Hosting numerous international acts and DJs such as Die Toten Hosen, Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas, Lost Frequencies, and Timmy Trumpet, it has already set a very high bar for itself. But what 2023 has in store goes above and beyond. Prepare for the arrival of one of the world's biggest stars, Robbie Williams, who will send reverberations through the entire Schladming-Dachstein Region on not one, but two dates – December 7th and 8th, 2023 – with his earth-shaking show!
ROBBIE WILLIAMS HEADLINES SKI OPENING
To announce these extraordinary concerts, Robbie Williams paid a personal visit to the Reiteralm on July 23rd, 2023, and was immediately captivated by the awe-inspiring scenery at the foot of the Dachstein. After concluding his year-and-a-half-long world tour in Australia during the winter of 2023, the international pop sensation still won’t be quite done! Following a few days of well-deserved R&R in Austria in early December, he's set to perform two bonus concerts, right here at Planai Stadium in Schladming.

SPECTACULAR PERFORMANCE
Expect performances at the two concerts in December that will be nothing short of spectacular. Matched perhaps only by the jaw-dropping arrival of Robbie Williams at the Reiteralm by helicopter as part of the press conference. Flown in directly from Klagenfurt alongside Provincial Governor Christopher Drexler, the entertainer received a warm welcome from organizer Klaus Leutgeb, Schladming-Dachstein CEO Mathias Schattleitner, and the CEOs of the Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area, all against the magnificent backdrop of the Dachstein. The main players then took their places on the podium alongside moderator Benny Hörtnagl. A lineup of high-profile personalities, an inspirational setting, and an all-around successful announcement!
Joining the celebrities on stage were numerous guests of honor: Barbara Eibinger-Miedl (Provincial Minister for Economy, Tourism, Regions, Science, and Research), Michael Feiertag (CEO of Styria Tourism), Christian Purrer (Board Chair of Energie Steiermark), Richard Rauch (4-toque-awarded chef), Hermann Trinker (Mayor of Schladming), Stefan Knapp (Mayor of Haus im Ennstal), and Roland Raninger (Mayor of Stainach-Pürgg).

During the press conference, where plans for the upcoming concert were revealed in spectacular fashion, the star musician once again emphasized how much he personally cherishes Austria and the Austrian public, and how eagerly he looks forward to his concerts in Schladming. He appeared visibly at ease amidst the splendid scenery, with the Dachstein in clear sight, engaging in a relaxed conversation at the podium. When asked what the audience can expect on December 7th and 8th, he responded calmly, with a smile, "My job is to entertain you, and I take that job very seriously - so that's what I will do at the 2 concerts in Schladming. And if I don't do that, I didn't do my job!" He presented himself as a true entertainer, someone who relishes his shows and performances now more than ever. For organizer Klaus Leutgeb, the two concerts at Planai Stadium on December 7th and 8th actually mark a third collaboration with this global superstar. In 2013, Robbie Williams performed at a show organized by Leutgeb Entertainment Group in Vienna's Krieau Stadium. In 2022, Leutgeb even orchestrated the largest solo concert ever put on by Robbie Williams, at the Munich Trade Fair Center.
